Learn from best. Hear what Olympians have to say...

Stay on track… you're coming up to the last hurdle and soon you'll reach the finish line!

"There’s always a positive spin you can put on things... no matter how bad things are.” Jessica Ennis, Heptathlete and Olympics Gold Medalist.

Jessica Ennis knows the importance of keeping upbeat in the face of pressure. Whether you are competing in Rio or studying for an exam, stress can impact your performance and can put in a negative frame of mind.

Don't let it get to you! You've worked hard all this time, an exam is only an opportunity to show off your efforts. I have always found going into an exam in a positive position will make you achieve far more, a negative mindset will only distract you from your work and in the exam. Do not fall into the trap, stay upbeat!

“If you fail to prepare, you’re prepared to fail.”— Mark Spitz, USA seven-time gold medalist in swimming.

Try mock exams, plan out answers and know all materials available before the exam off by heart. You will not regret hard-work. Many of our students cite time management during their exams as being one of their biggest issues.

The most effective way to overcome this is to prepare – plan your answers before doing them, practice mock exams so you have a feeling of what the exam is going to be like and revise as many materials as possible. Being unprepared is the last thing you want going into an exam and wishing you worked harder is the last feeling you want going out of it. Put the effort in now and you will see the rewards later!

“You cannot put a limit on anything. The more you dream, the farther you get.” Michael Phelps, most decorated Olympian of all time.

Look ahead to the future, exams aren't much fun, but you are sitting them so you have better life prospects. Be ambitious and have that goal in the back of your mind to push you that bit harder, soon as you have passed them so many more opportunities await you!
